Tooling
One of the biggest factors in reducing lead-time is our ability to design and build our tooling in-house. Injection molds, metal dies, and fixtures are designed in collaboration with our own machinists and tool makers. This affords us the luxury of picking the most practical method of construction and eliminates the dreaded finger pointing between designer and tool maker. Since Aircom will be running the tooling, every effort is taken to ensure that the tooling is easily maintainable with little down time.
Molds
Aircom's low to high volume production molding experience enables us to recommend the ideal tooling solution for your injection molded products. High speed machining centers, CNC EDM's and lathes and precision grinding are all used to create robust, highly maintainable tools. Everything from polishing to heat treating is performed in-house.
Dies
Different industries inherently have different volume requirements. Consequently, our diverse customer base necessitates the ability to accommodate everything from hundreds of pieces to hundreds of thousands. As a result, Aircom routinely designs and builds everything from blank, form and trim dies to multistage progressive dies. As with our injection molds, all die designs are scrutinized to ensure that repair is easy and production interruptions are few and short.
Fixtures
There is no better way to improve assembly efficiency than to provide people with tools to make the task easy and fool proof. Whether the fixture is a simple stage or a pneumatic-mechanical device, all of these aids are designed and built using the experience of Aircom's creative engineers and machinists.
