About Aircom Manufacturing, Inc.

Aircom Manufacturing, Inc.

Our History

The roots of today's family-owned Aircom Manufacturing, Inc. began growing in 1960 when Robert L. Lyon (Bob) opened Aircom Metal Products on Emerson Avenue in Indianapolis. The original two-machine shop supplied high-quality, machined products to our clients. However, business didn't begin booming until Aircom added Western Electric to our client base a year later. The long-term relationship with Western Electric expanded through the years as Aircom continued to secure contracts with AT&T, solidifying our position as a major supplier to the telecommunications industry.

After Robert L. Lyon's untimely death in 1979, his eldest son, Robert J., led Aircom until 1992 when the current President, Ron Lyon, assumed the leadership role. Today, Aircom has grown into a nationally-recognized contract manufacturer with a diverse customer base including companies in the medical, telecommunications, food and beverage, automotive, consumer and industrial markets. Aircom provides the integrated "Complete Package" to its customers needed to move a product's design efforts to manufacturing.

Facilities and Capabilities

With approximately 300 employees on our Indianapolis campus, Aircom is eager to provide customers with a "worry-free experience." As a ISO-9001 certified company, we offer a complete range of manufacturing processes: including precision injection molding, cleanroom molding and assembly, sheet metal fabrication, welding, wire harnesses, CNC machining, precision stamping, decorating, tool making, engineering services, extensive assembly capabilities, supply chain management and distribution.

Applied Logic Engineering

Aircom acquired magnetics technologies when it purchased certain assets of Applied Logic Engineering from Charlotte, NC, in September 2001. Aircom is now one of the few companies globally to offer design and production of magnets and magnetic systems..

Medivative Technologies

In 2002, we formed Medivative Technologies, LLC, a GMP-compliant, life sciences contract manufacturer as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aircom. Medivative is already one of Indiana's premier medical device contract manufacturing firms.

Medivative offers medical device manufacturing including full supply chain management, turn-key assembly, packaging and distribution from a climate-controlled facility within our manufacturing campus. Because the efforts of Aircom and Medivative are coordinated, Medivative can offer customers the same reduced time to market and cost efficiencies enjoyed by Aircom customers.
